Hi everybody since i finally got osme equipment i want to aconditionate my room for being my litle project studio.
I am following the "BEDROOM STUDIO" design on the SAE website... but those are intended just to be the control Room.
At this moment i Dont have space for a recording room.. (in the future i will..by march 2006) but i need to start recording.
So i need that you guys tell me how to worl my walls so i can have a decent frecuency response when recording without compromising the idea of a control room for mixing.
I will be recording mainly voices and horns.. some latin percusion.. and eventually drums.. not a lot of drums, but i want to be ready if I had to.
The walls are common bricks with paint... the roof is not parallel to the floor all these details are in the sketches.
I know that is a little bit hard what i am requesting.. but i am not looking for a perfect room.. something between practicity and quality would be the right spot.
Here i post the dimensions of my room (is small also ).... please help.. i need to know how to treat walls and all that stuff... i am from Venezuela.. and please fell free to post all opinions.. from materials to things to do... i will be in debt with all of you.
Help me Building my humble studio.

This is the closest thing we have to Frequently Asked Questions on this resource at the moment. Many common questions are covered there, and it is required reading in terms of our being able to help you with your project.
Use the search feature to look for threads that may contain the answer to your question. There is a wide variety of projects represented in this forum -- everything from relatively low-budget residential rehearsal rooms to full-scale, professional recording studios. If your searches return too many results, try multiple terms with "Search for all terms" enabled.
If those efforts do not lead you to the answers you need, you are welcome to post your questions on the forum. If you do so:
Edit your profile to include your location. This is very important, because this is a worldwide resource, and as such, material costs and availability vary widely. For example, masonry is cheaper than gypsum in some parts of the globe, whereas it's the exact opposite in other regions.
