If you go to www.gearslutz.com and check out what George has said about the room. In essence, it is a room without walls. It took over 90 tons of MDF. There are tons of interesting facts at the forum. Check them out.

Back from AES and heard a recording GM did in the room with video and explanation by him in person. Very interesting. Sounds great. The idea is an anechoic room with a decay time, no early reflections, entirely diffuse. They record in there. Just roll the icon out of the way (and toss it in the garbage AFAIK) and put musicians in there. With small acoustic groups, the vocalist does not need headphones, nor does anyone else.

must be a lot of fun to dust it... :)
unfortunately it's not very practical as the amount of MDF used in the walls is measured in tons. :shock:
