Hi there, I am in a new projet about a studio for recording voices (e-learning). The facts are : I have a "little" space for doing this. The orange wall is not existing now. I planned to use a already made cabine (diamond) for recording the voice. But I am not happy with the result. The placement of the door is just an example ... meaning it can be placed anywhere on the orange wall. If somebody can help I will really appreciate. No problems about neighbour or things like nuisance as I will record only voice and no music. But I need a silent room for recording voice (only important point). Plans are following ...
here are the plans. quote are in meters

Here is the better idea I have for today ... I will work alone and will have to go often in the cabin and then back on the PC ... so I think it is the best design possible in such a small place. Feel free to give any ideas or new design ... thanks in advance

Man, in a space that small, my first idea would be to go with just a one room approach. Put your money and time into building an iso box/rack for your computer and gear, and just record the voice in the same room.
and just record the voice in the same room.
I agree. cheers john
really ? The point is that near the orange wall, people will run and toilets are near ... So with the cabin, it was a good solution of both proper takes and not to do a big fat orange wall ... what do you thing about these cabins (a bit expensive but I think it can be a good solution for me). Vocalbooth at http://www.vocalbooth.com/products/diamondseries_specs.html the model I am looking for is the Diamond series of Vocalbooth, the 5 carat (the medium one) Here is a picture (the quotes are in inches)

Here is the result with that cabin (it is scaled) ... I think with that I have the following + : - be sure to have good takes - do not need to make big fat walls to avoid the noise coming from outside (it wont annoy me for listening but for recording yes ... the flush was great for indeep (last night a dj saved my life) but not for e-learning ;-) - if I have to move (it happens often where I work). I can quicly re-built the studio the - : - it is expensive .. with the windows its like EUR 8000 ! (but it wont be my money ... so ... ;-)

So to explain a bit better about the noise exposure. I wont do big noises (just talking voice) so here no prob. The problem for me will be during recording the voice as this "studio" will be in a office. On the left wall, no noise will be coming (as it is the "outside" wall) On the up wall, no noise as the room is a server room On the non existing wall (orange), possibility of noise coming from : - people that walks - people that goes to toilets (flush) On the bottom wall, can give a little noise cause it is a meeting room ... So that's why I was thinking about these vocalbooth (maybe the smaller one 3 carats is enough (like the first picture) but it should be placed in the upper left and not the upper right (first picture)). I prefer the 5 carat as I think I will feel claustrophobic in the small one ... Any help welcome, as I am completely in the fog now ....
in other words do you think these vocalbooths are great products ?
