I'm moving next month into a new house. The space I have to build my studio is in the attached sketch. I need an air-lock entry, control room and an iso booth. I have a budget for design and construction around 10k. Gear is a seperate budget. Any suggestions on how to break up the space is welcome. I'm trying to get a feel for what is possible. One of the tricky things is that the electrical panel will need to be accessable. It can be covered, just needs to be easy to get to in case a fuse goes or something. I'm enjoying the forum, by the way...I've been reading and learning much. I look forward to hearing what folks think of the space.

welcome Jeff - that damn electrical panel stops my obvious option - where is it situated on the wall and does it handle the whole house or just a section? cheers john

The electrical panel is for the whole house. They have dry walled around the panel, so the grey area is actually a floor to ceiling wall 2" deep and 22.5" long with the panel door on the front. Those measurements were taken at the floor. The panel was not to scale in my drawing whereas the walls were. Hope that answers your question. Your sketch is very close to how I envisioned it. I found picture I took of that wall and have attached it to this post.
