This is the design for the studio I am about to build.
The drawing is what I got from the architect and requires either AutoCAD or a .DWG viewer of some sort. Here is the one I used
Site Prep is complete.
The shell is scheduled to begin in about a week and will take about two months.
Studio site is on 20 acres in a rural community, but there are motorcycles and louder than that, airplanes (both commerical as well as private) which seem to fly over during acoustic guitar sessions.
Most of my current clients play jazz and folk (with the occasional rock band) so I am more interested in an excellent room sound and keeping noise out rather than keeping any death metal *in*.
The shell is 48x60x20 with a 5/12 comp roof and scissor trusses providing an interior slope of 2/12.
I have read quite a bit of this forum and see a lot of good insight.
Any comments/questions would be much appreciated.
Steven
