Well it is time to build my next Studio (really)
I have a space of 27' by 60' Available. I want 3 rooms. and of course I must plan for a Toilet and a Storgae Room for mics/Stands, etc.....
If I can squeeze in a reception area that would be great as well.
Lowest point (ceiling is 12') Highest point is 18' Yes it slopes to one side. sloping along the 60' length of the building.
Must have a ROOMY control room. As it is a concrete block building I have some decent flexibility for Door placement (although it has to be on the 27' side)
There are no beams in the way which is great. Concrete Slab Floor, etc........
Lots of flexibility
Will run new electrical. Great Building. I am ready to move my current facility is nice but cramped. :)
If I can end up with a 4th (production room w/ Vocal booth) that would be special as well :)
After reviweing AC options I think going Mini Split throughout is best for me. Easy to install and maintain. NO Duct work to deal with :)
And at 25dBA, quiet enuff for my needs :)

Well after sectioning this bulding off into 4 different shops (The wife gotta get hers. LOL)
I have decided on 2 overall spaces.
1 - 18'x 21' Production suite area
1 -24' x 30' Area Main Studio. Now to section them off.
Criteria. Both rooms MUST be surround sound rooms. I do plan to grab some of that DVD/Video work as well :)
I am giving myself a 12' x 12' Office. and a12' x 18' waiting/entry area. 6' hall way and a 9'x 9' unisex bathroom.
LOL Yeah been giggin (summer time work) and what not. Finally slowing down for real time :) The wife has had the production end of the Studio jumping so I have projects to mix. :)He's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! :mrgreen:
