Hello everyone. I´m an 17 year old boy who is living in Finland. This is my first posting here in the forum, and I wanted to ask you some questions concerning my home studio I started to build in one of the rooms in my garage. The room had a concrete floor, but I built a chassis on it, and put some wool under and built a floor level on. The walls are covered with gypsum board. the size of the room is: wide: 355cm (11.64684 ft) height: 265cm (8.69412 ft) lenght: 425cm (13.9434 ft) The purpose in my homestudio is moustly vocal recordings. So i just need a Recording booth and a mixingroom. Right now the room is empty, without any furnitures, only a entrance door, and a little window. The vocal booth has to be in the same room as the mixing room, because there is no other rooms available. Here you can se a drawing I made how I would want it to look like, the shape is just simple.

And then one thing more... I have bought some sound-proof panels, and I would want to have some help concerning were to put them in the room. The panels are 600 x 1200mm (1.96848 ft x 3.93696 ft) They are made of mineral wool, and on top of that is a glass fiber layer. and I have 7 of these. I´m sorry for the spelling mistakes, my English isn´t so good. Every layout suggestion would help me :) Thanks! -Jonny
could someone help? please. -Jonny
Hi, I did a quick drawing for you to geive you something to think about. I woudn't devide the room, leave it this size, build a soundproof cabinet for noisy equippment and arrange the needed acoustics with gobos. Here you find how to build the slats and other useful stuff: http://www.saecollege.de/reference_material/index.html http://forum.studiotips.com/viewforum.p ... 226b7354d0 http://www.johnlsayers.com/HR/index1.htm Greetings Florian :D
