Hello - here is what my control/mix room looks like.
Width of the room is 15'
Length is 12'
Height is 7' 7".
A: 4" thick 2' x 4' 703 traps. Also there are 2' x 2' traps at the upper corners in these locations and there is a 2' x 4' between the front wall and the ceiling at an angle.
B: 3" thick 2' x 4' 703 trap with a 4" air gap behind it.
C: 1.5" thick 2' x 4' panels flush to the walls at the 1st reflection point (found with mirror)
D: 1.4" thick 2' x 4' 703 panel with curved 1/8" plywood and 4" gap behind it.
The speakers are on stand next to the desk and there is a rack to the left of the rack. Also shown are doors, the stairs leading up and a closet.
Any thoughts of if I should look at adding, removing or changing my sound treatment?
Thanks,
Roberto

Roberto - please look at these figures of the sq footage area you are adding to the room
A = 2' x 4' x 5 + 3 x 2' x 2' = 52 sq ft.
B = 2' x 4' x 1 = 8 sq ft
C = 2' x 4' x 2 = 16 sq ft
D = 2' x 4' x 1 = 8 sq ft
total = 84 sqft.
Room is 15' x 12' x 7'7" = 765 sq ft.
Your panels account for 84 sqft which is around 11 - 12% of your total room wall area.
you need much more than that to tame a small room like that. ;)
cheers
john
Thanks John. So, based on all my reading, I am not quite sure what kind of panels to add. I am thinking of building some 3" thick panels (B) spaced 4" from the walls and locate them on the front wall and on the side wall at the first reflection point, moving the 1.5" ones (C) ones farther back, next to the mixing position and then I can put some 1.5" panels flush mounted to the rear wall. Would that work?
Thanks,
Roberto
