I cannot get this calculator to load! Can anyone post an alternate link or a downloadable file? My room is finished, but I've got a serious 60hz null at listening position, and massive buildup of that frequency in the corners. Room is trapezoidal with 12 degree sloping side walls (~14' deep, averaging ~16' wide, ~6.5' ceilings [fabric/insulation ceiling]). Granted, no bass trapping up yet (ordered, and awaiting), but I'd like to plan how to place the bass traps I've purchased when they arrive, and decide if I need more than I bought (6 total). Thanks! Lazlo
Calm down. Wait for what you've ordered. Put them in the corners - then remeasure. If you want to check to see what the room might need, check out forums.studiotips.com and look for Chris Whealy's calculator. This will at least give you a rough idea on where you stand.
Laslo, the harmon calculator (like most) requires a PC running Excel - if that's you, then there's something else buggered up on your system most likely. Can you please update your Profile to include a location? Just makes it easier to recommend stuff if we know what part of the world you're in, thanks... Steve
Profile updated. Thanks for the link to the other calculator.
Lazlo, You might want to check out this thread. Page 7, fifth post down, I compare a bunch of calculators. Some are useful. Others are not. JBL's looks like it came out good. FYI.
