What thickness of neoprene would be appropriate?

I am wondering what thickness of neoprene I will need to lay under my wooden floor in my slowly building studio. Anyone know where I can get some from....in the UK?

Also if I just fold a roll over, is it as good? i.e. if I need 6 mil and I can only get 3 mil....
