Hi all - Due to a number of factors, I need to rotate the mix position 180 degrees so that it faces OUT into the room, instead of towards the North wall. I won't be using soffits anyway, but I want to know what this does to the wall angles. As John originally drew it, there was an 11 degree angle. Now that things face the opposite way, should I keep this angle, or do something else? The mix area will be up on a six inch platform, with the wall behind moved to make a 36 inch service corridor for the radon unit, elec panel, a/c ducting and cable runs. The "front" (South) wall will have a wall unit installation with television and front, center, and subwoofers set up for listening on the couch. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Jim

The bottom one is correct, with or without soffits; the top one is bass-ackwards, and will cause bad reflections coming back to the mix position. If you want to reverse the room, reverse EVERYTHING... Steve
Why don't you use a projector and pulldown screen set up for the TV. That way the bottom drawing could serve both Home Theater and Studio functions.
