I was just wondering if someone could take a look at my floor plan and let me know if I may have done something wrong. Thanks in advance.
Could someone take a look at my floor plan

Where's your doors? for your other two rooms on the right?
I forgot to put them in
Here's an updated version....for some reason I think I've messed up somewhere as this whole studio design is new to me.
Ace - your drawing is not to scale so I can't scale to it and offer some ideas.
do you have a drawing to scale ??
cheers

How would I go about doing that? I'm not sure exactly what you mean by scale. Would it help if I linked the Photoshop file or a pdf?Ace - your drawing is not to scale so I can't scale to it and offer some ideas. do you have a drawing to scale ?? cheers john
OK - now I see where I blew it :):)
Try this - access is important IMO.

Is it any better or worse with both control rooms having visual with the drum room?
or...
Thanks John and Subatom for the assistance. I definitely like the designs.......Was there a reason why you went with the smaller control room sizes? I'm not complaining but every book I read said bigger is better.
Is there a way to get the room dimensions from the plan that John designed for me? I can't make them out.... Thanks in advance for any assitance.
When a drawing is to scale it is proportionally smaller or larger, by some multiple, than the real object being modeled.
To scale the drawing, measure a dimension, and reduce that ratio to simplify it.
...if the 31'-0" equals 3" on your measuring tape, ruler, or scale, then 1" equals 10'-4".
scales....... 1/4"=1'-0" , 1"=50', 1:20
....32'-12" = 33'-0" ?
I tried importing it into photoshop and resizing it using the constrain proportions option, and it doesn't seem to add up. It's about .699 short of an inch off if I make the width 33 inches, and it's .761 of an inch too big if I make the height 31 inches. The question is which dimension do I make adjusments to?
which file did you use? john's? if so, did you crop the white area off the plan? you may have got off there.
those floor tiles look square...and the door should be the same width no matter the orientation.
I would imagine John's drawing was to scale, or real close.
...if your drawing isn't exactly to scale try resizing it w/o constraining proportions...or get one dimension right and stretch the other.
I actually used yours. I'm working through it though. Hopefully the room dimensions turn out to be correct. I'll post a sketchup file when I'm done.
If you have sketchup import the gif file (you may have to convert it to .jpg ) and rescale in sketchup.
cheers

I really like your "custom floor plans". The second President Obama saves me from from my current mortgage I want to build a much bigger home. Please elaborate on the "integrity" part of your custom homes.
