Been some time since... I move down to India and brought some of my music gear with me from sweden. I conveted the dining room to a 50 $US home studio. The accoustics was worse than bad. Lucky me working in a project where we have insulation, found 10 cm Mineral wool with the density of 90 kg per m3, get it for free as it was surplus. Put it in my jeep and drove of to the camp. I put it in double layers cross three of the corners in the room. Made a 20 cm mineral wool wall sealing of the window and a 15 cm flush to the wall opposite the window. Thats the left and right of the listening point. Went out shopping fabrics, Payed 0.5 $US per meter. I needed some support to keep the insulation inplace. I took the jeep and went to a local scaffold material supplyer and got the Bamboo cut in precise lengths, filled the car and again with materials, the Indian locals wondered what I was up to. Home to my house and in one day all work completed.
How it sounds, it is a bit dead, but the the bass is tight and even over the whole range. I do not expect to get top studio quality, but for sure the remixes I done of recorded material from Sweden improved a lot. here is some pics. 8) :? :P
Cheers.

Ah, but you have to factor in the cost of that beautiful mini split air conditioner on the wall! ;-)
But seriously... Congratulations. :-) Your "studio on the cheap" will surely inspire those of modest means, and the photos do a great job of showing how everything worked out.
Thanks. Just finnished my night shift and soon on my way back to my house. I'll try to get some more pics taken on close up bass trapps etc. The good thing with this studio, nothing is anchored or fixed. Just to remove when contract in India is over.
I have make more pictures of very simple bass traps and a simple test for responce of my studio?
Have done a simple drawing of the room. Tested white noise with Wave lab analyzer. And finally pics from back of room.
Thanks for it all Kaj!
