First of all i just want to congratulate for this wonderful forum. There´s plenty of info and very useful! Keep it up.
Well i´m moving to my new place and the only little room i have to put my little studio is 3,60 (lenght)x 1,85 (w)x2,53 (h) meters.
I´ve been reading a lot but i´m still a bit confused. Is it better to place my monitors looking towards the longest walls (3,60)? This should involve the listener´s place is very close to the wall behind hin/her, but i wonder if it´s good anyway if i treat acoustically this wall. If i do the setup like this i´ll have to place the speakers VERY close to the wall behind them and so try to modify the frecuency response but...how? My speakers are 6,5" ADAMs. The place should look like that:
----------------

! Door

!--------Door!
The other placement (speakers looking to the shortest wall) seems more logical (at least to me) but the two doors open towards the inside of the room so i should leave enough space and this will suppose that the speakers would be placed at the middle of the room, making this setup a bit wasting, in terms of usable volume of the room.
Thanks in advance!!! (and sorry for my english and the stupid drawing i made).
HELP TO A NEWBIE, PLEASE!!

It is more logical to have your monitors facing the short wall. This is the case because you will want to have the back wall as far away as possible.
Couldn't you permanently close one of the doors and put your desk there? That seems logical to me. Good luck with your studio! I would treat as much wall and ceiling surface as possible with broadband absorbers, with a room this small.
Well i decided to go on as you said AK69. Now i´ve got a noticeable boost on high frecuencies and a problem with a sub bass (it completely disappears as i open the door behind me).
I think that when i move my head to avoid this sub bass frec, it really disappears when i´m forming the perfect triangle with the speakers so i think their placement is right.
Now i have to buy some absortion products for these amplified high frecuencies. I´m in Barcelona and i can buy Auralex staff. What do you think about it? Can i get the same results with some other cheaper material (i read somewhere it was easier to build a good high fr. absortion panel than making a home-basstrap)?
Would you consider before the whole ac. treatment modifying the response of the speaker with the rear controls?
Thank you
