Hey guys I'm new to the forum. I have read a lot of the extra material but still have a few questions and would appreciate any advise that you might have! What is the best positioning for bass traps in the corners? One on each wall "L" shaped, or across the corner diagonally... (I know that an L shaped layout is better for cutting first reflections and across is better for bass traping...) Here are some specs on my set up. I have a small "audio room" that's 11'x11'2" and it opens up via 4' wide french doors to my living room which is 15'x11'2". My speakers are right in the middle of the audio room pointing through the french doors so they project mainly into the living room... My ceilings are 8.5'. Any suggestions on my set up would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
It depends on the kind of trap you're using. For panel traps an L shape is better, because the surface area is what counts here. For fiberglass traps diagonal mounting is better, because the space between the trap and the wall is of great importance here!
