Hello! I am new to this forum and would like some guidance and advice on planning the layout of my private studio.
I have one room available for tracking, which is made of solid block and dimensions of 137" x 231" x 96". In this room Id like to fit a drumset, a few guitar amplifiers, some keyboards etc... There are 2 windows, and 3 doors in the room. I will post some pictures coming up.
I have another room that is aluminum and wood measuring 106" x 142" x 87" that I would like to fit a desk, 2 sets of monitors in, and nothing else.
While I take some time to get some decent pictures, what would be some ideas for isolation and layout? IN the tracktion room there is a door on the 231" wall in one corner, and on the other 231" wall there is also a doorway in the corner. Across from either door, on the 137" wall there is also a dooryway. I beleive this makes sense.
In the proposed control room there is a doorway center of one of the 106" walls, and a door 30" off center on a 142" wall.
Thanks for any advice in advance, I will have pictures within an hour. Hopefully I, with some help, can form a good layout and plan to move on to the construction forum!
Odd rooms, ideas?

What would be good pictures to take?
Did I do something incorrect to not receive a response? If so, I will gladly correct myself.
Wear e waing for information so that we will not be wasting each otheres time. Information including: pictures drawings of space how many instruments at once what types of instruments how noisy is it outside the facility how sensitive is outside the facility to noise budget what part of the word so atha we can guide on things in your area. Thank you, I will prepare that information.
Pictures are coming, and I would like to know how sensitive I should be to proper proportions when doing the drawing.
Other Information:
There is little to no noise outside the facility, and it is not sensitive to incoming noise. I would like to isolate outside from the noise created inside though.
There will not need to be more than 2 instruments at once in the main room. A guitar amp and synth/guitar player, and a drumset.
Budget is minimal, but I can procure most materials for free and both my neighbors are licensed contractors who will gladly help me for a minimal fee, most likely a few beers and a good bar-b-que :)
Drawings on the way if there is nothing else I should know about it. I do not know how helpful pictures will/would be assuming I manage to make the drawings somewhat informative.
A good start.
The picturea and drawings will be ALL that we have to work with designing. Teh more accurate, the better. AndrePictures are coming, and I would like to know how sensitive I should be to proper proportions when doing the drawing.
I sat down to put the drawings together and realized it is simply an empty room. So if it's needed that I post a rectangle I will gladly.
Sorry if I am being unclear, this is a blank slate I have to work with.
Where are the doors and windows in each wall? Waht is betwent he rooms? What are walls made of? (detailed, not "wallboard"!) What is the foolr made of and on? What is the ceiling made of and under? Where are the ventillation ducts? Are there any beams, if so alos how low? Any columns? We do not know ANY of the above.
