I hope nobody minds me rolling a couple of questions into one:
I was wondering...would it be OK to place my mixing desk at my window? the thought of working at my bedroom window is rather appealing to me...
Also, I was wondering...if I don't put my mixing desk at a window... would it be good if I would put a big picture (framed poster/photo, or maybe a painting) no the wall behind my mixing desk...
all this from an acoustics-point-of-view, ofcourse...
Any opinions on this? :)
thank you

Come to think of it... putting up recordsleeves (with contents?) would be nice too...
anybody? :(
hi, just a quick thought.
I suppose that you want an environment to do an accurate mix.
what you don't want at the mix position is flutter echoes and early reflections. so some absorbtion at the right places is a must.
also its better to fire your speakers along the "longside" direction of the room.
read the SAE-stuff, there's also a bedroom studio. also check out the stickys around. After a few hours (or days  ) you'll know the basics.
then, if you want to "tune" your room, the guys here will help.
:D
