I'm having a blast with this program but can't seem to do an effective search for sketchup files on this site. Could everybody with links post them on here for our quick reference? Thanks Rick
It'd be nice to have a studio design sketchup component library. I'd love to see a set of drums, Marshall stack, or 2X12 combo, 19" rack gear, diffusors, traps, etc... all to give a bit more of a sense of scale for room design purposes. Cheers, Kris
Yeah!!! I second that for sure.

cool- let us know when you've created them so we can all share :) here's a few you might want to use. cheers john
File not preserved: Console set.skp
File not preserved: double window.skp
File not preserved: Acoustic Door 3.skp
Looks cool BTW a sketchup tip - open your components folder and select the "in model" folder and the click the arrow top right and click "purge unused". Then do the same in your materials/paint "in model" folder and do the same. It took your 1.2mb file down to 810K. cheers john
Thanks John! I'm just learning my way around the program, there's still a LOT I don't know...
One thing I noticed is you are not using groups. Every shape you make should instantly be made a group - then double clicking it will allow you to edit it. If you don't use groups you can get into a mess very quickly. cheers john
Gotcha! I've started using groups, didn't go back and fix everything else yet though... Here's my newest version, which includes a drum kit, marshall 1/2 Stack (purple) Mesa/Boogie 1/2 Stack (black) and a Bass rig. Not Pretty but they can give an idea of scale at least? could you export a pic? I'm not about to wait for 2.1mb file to download on dailup. cheers john
Man, that's cool how you got that pool on the front wall! You should put some fish in there!
HA! Yeah, I was wondering if anybody would pick up on that. It took some doing, but I finally got that anti-gravity machine working right...
