Hello John,
First of all I’d like to congratulate you on a very inspiring website and forum!
I’ve already read a lot of useful information and as a result I’m very eager to start my own studio project.
Fiddling about with all kinds of drawings I’ve now come up with an idea that leaves me puzzled as far as the room dimensions and acoustics are concerned.
The current idea involves some diagonal walls and I’m not sure how to measure the standing waves.
Do you have a suggestion? Or should I forget about this ‘design’ and go for a more rectangular approach ?
I hope you can open the attachment, and give me some pointers, or do’s and don’t ‘s in this matter.
And please forgive my Bad English (not the band!) writing, I’m Dutch.
Kind Regards,

Room dimensions

That's a very small control room mate - I'd use the 19' depth for a control room , say 12' wide leaving the rest for a studio.
cheers

Thanks John,
It’s a very modest room for a very modest person!…
It all depends on the building permit of course, on the other hand I was thinking maybe keep the control room small and just for recording, and build the larger room so that it can also function as a mixing room.
Many Greetings,
