Hi there. I just did a small very unpro test to my room were I do most of my mixing. I simple Signal generator on a track in PT and then did a auto to go from 20Hz up to 16KHz. I recorded the signal from my speakers with a AT4050 in listening position. The steps were ca 50Hz at a time. I know you should do way smaller steps but I didn´t have the nerve to do it :-( Anyway. Here is a picture of how it turned out.

What would you say woudl be the best thing to do to hopefully get those peaks around 130Hz, 270Hz and 8.5KHz. And what can I do when, like at 450Hz up to 2.2KHz, there is a big "down" or ist this right and the rest bad !?!? Thanks for any comment !!
Welcome tot he forum! First: resize your image so that people do not have to scroll to see it. :D Second: describe th room in detail (wall sizes, shapes, doors, etc), inculde a drawing. Third: do a time delay test so that we can see what refclections are doing. Andre
Sorry. Here is a smaller picture (don´t know how to take the "old" one away thou?)

the room is 16.24ft X 11.31ft and 8.53ft High. Red = Sofa Dark blue = shelfs Green = rack Light blue = carpet Grey = desk Black = monitors (event 20/20Bas) How do I do a Time delay test ??? THANKS
Actually, it s\dousn't llok that bad. Can you repost it witht he axis scales on it so that we can get a feel for the depth and hoght of the response? The big things I am sseing and am curiosu about right now are: the broad redustion at, sheesh, 70 to 100 Hz? and the two strong peaks at, again what frequencies? Teh peaks make me wonder if there is a loud sound source in to the room ro if there is hum etc getting into the measurement system. We are making progress! Adnre
OK, here is another drawing. I hope you can understand what I mean.. The two big peaks. When I listen to them in my room they defenitly make a bigger HUM in the room which I guess is not good :-( Well I hope you understand my drawing... Any comments ?

are you writing that there is a hum noise in the room? Taht can cause several problems. I suggets intot he wiring section for help removing the hum. Is your system set "flat" I am curious about the relative reduction in overall level below about 170 Hz. We are mamking profgres. BTW, could you please update your profile so that we have an idea of where we are helping to? Andre
No, what I mean ist that when I come to the frequency around the two big peaks. I can really feel how much louder those frequencyes are compared to the rest. And what worries me is that there is almost a hole around 70 - 100Hz ??? My system is set flat by the way... Thanks for your help !!
I'm not seeing the pic of your room - can you post it here as a jpg, scaled so it's not wider than 750 pixels ? Without a scale drawing of where your speakers, head, walls, etc, are it's not possible to tell what's causing your peaks and nulls... Steve
I can not see the room anymore either. Once we can look at that with dimensions we can start to suggest imrpovements. We are mamking progress! Andre

bump
Time delay or similar "waterfal" analsis can be done with the demo version of ETF software. If you move the tet microphone back abouta metre does the broad valley move down in frequency" if it does then that is frotm eh ceiling/floor reflection. What happens if you do the mirror setup and place braod absorption (temporary)at the reflection points? Andre
