Hi guys,
I've posted here before and received great advice on flooring. Now I'm back once again to ask your advice.
Our studio has to relocate due to our building being sold from under us for housing development.
We have found a new location, a warehouse constructed of concrete blocks and metal coated panels.
Currently there is a small mezzanine floor above the reception and toilet area. Our plan is to extend this floor to the width of the building and have our recording studio (control room and drum room) on this first floor.
If funds allow we also plan to build the 1st floor over the top of the rehearsal rooms shown and they'll be used for storage and an office etc.
So, my question (after all this bumpf) is how to feature the load bearing walls into the soundproofing equation.
The existing structure is concrete block to 2 metres high, then coated metal panels to the roof. The ceiling height is approx 5.76 metres high.
I've included a JPEG and will attach the SmartDraw file of my rough plan so far.
Thanks in advance,
Rich
Studio design within warehouse over two floors

Just a quick update.
After some financial and time consideration we've decided to scrap building another floor over the rehearsal rooms.
For the amount of usage we could get from it, it would never really pay for itself.
We still plan to extend the current mezzanine to the width of the building as this is where our studio will be.
Thanks for looking!
