hi, Asking and consulting prices and ways to go on my rehearsal rooms, I decide to plaster one rehearsal room and put rockwool 70 mm over the plaster. I hope this week this ceiling were made. Any opinion? advices? plaster is that kind of ceiling, isn't it? But I don't like the lamp :lol:

That looks a bit fancy for a studio, but may be a type of plaster; what you want is sometimes called plaster-BOARD, it comes in sizes like 1200 x 2400mm. Like the stuff in the USG manual... Steve
thanks steve. Maybe it will be fancy but prices are very much better than sheet rock panels hanged. About 11€/sq meter. Sheetrock and steel framing is about 20€/sq meter... I must choose the cheapest way for my rehearsal rooms... Not for studio, only the rehearsal... Pic of the plaster panels and rockwool...

Thanks for posting the pictures, Hugo... I always enjoy looking at them -- it's interesting to see how construction techniques vary throughout the world. I'm assuming that those are temporary braces on the bottom of the panels closest to the camera. I'm curious -- how are the panels attached?
Panels are atached by "estopas" in spanish. I don't know the name in english... I only found a good pic of this

the hair of this sculpture is "estopa" It is wet in gypsium and atached to the plaster boards. But this ones are very separated and I can put the rockwool correctly over them...

That's fascinating -- thanks for sharing these new photos. 8) I'm trying not to judge, because I know that construction techniques differ around the world... But I have to admit, that just seems weird to me. :shock: Does anyone here have a concern about this? (If not, I'll shut up! :wink: )
Estopa = Hemp :mrgreen:
