my live room is 28 x 26. 2 x 6 x 10' walls and then valuted up another 10' to a lam beam. 2 x 12' struts to the lam beam. i am thinking about using r30 between the 24" centers of the stuts, then 5/8 sheet rock then 1/2" sheet rock, then 5/8" sheet rock. any suggestions. should i put soundboard inbetween the 5/8" instead of 1/2" sheet rock or what? i will be double walling the rest of the studio also. my building is at least 125' from the nearest building. i figure my weakest link will be the ceiling. any suggestions would be appreicated.
