It's been quite awhile since I've been here.
My studio construction is hanging in limbo for the moment. It's a LONG story.
At any rate, I just kept thinking to myself that I was trying to pack too much into too little space. (It's an existing 30'x40' building)
(oops-edit)
I'm thinking about using RPG DifussorBlox on the control room rear wall to maximize space.

Any ideas or comments are greatly appreciated.

Revised Studio Plans

(2nd edit)
Walls are 2x6 w/ 4 layers of 5/8" gypsum.
Total cavity depth is 16" between rooms.
Each room on it's own sand filled pad; 2x8 or 2x10 banding/joists?
I'm going this way so I can afford to build as I go.
(Additional note not just for me...)
I know it adds cost to our structures, and I'll have to comply here at my place, but we should all consider Universal Access. e.g. wheelchair access, when putting in doors, ramps for gear, etc.

A polite bump. I know everyone's busy.

REALLY?!? I guess a blind squirrel can even find a nut every now and then huh? I'm so used to screwing up on one OBVIOUS item or another, that I figured that there was something that was in need of alteration or reconsideration. Thanx John! Max - here's a plan from Jeff Cooper that has a booth setup similar to yours.

Well... you talk about a blast from the past...
I'm Baaaack! ( :lol: )
I probably should have posted this back up here last year when I finalized the design... but sometimes I vaporlock like a 72' Pinto...
Here's the final layout I decided on with Rod's help;
