Okay, I'm making a list of goods to build my studio (I'm going to shrink down the plans and post them soon, I just haven't gotten around to it). The building exists, and I'm in the back half. It's essentially one of the rooms from the SAE list (the corner studio I believe) but it's been moved around a bit and what not. I'll be building the studio inside the building, none of the walls will attatch to the exterior, I need good sound isolation since the other parts of the studio are a film editing/shooting suite and a photography studio.
I need to know what supplies are needed, and the exact brands that are recommended. Including framing and all (I'm guessing 2x4s)...
Floors
Walls
What to use to float the floors
What type of insulation
Supplies for bass traps etc.
And anything I may be missing...
Thanks so much for the help, this site has been a God send.
Later,

and in addition, let us know if you are on a concrete slab at ground level, up 4 stories, or something entirely different, it will make things go much quicker.
The more you divulge about your existing conditions, the easier it will be to help you find solutions... Steve
We're ground floor... in fact the building is only one floor... concrete slab, and we're floating the studio on the concrete. It's essentially a concrete block building, rectangle... 60x80.
I get the back half, so it's about 40x60... including a bathroom and small entrance area/desk/waiting area, but that kind of spills into the photography studio... I'm working on shrinking the plans.
Thanks for the reply,
