Hey guys I want to see the creativty of the people in thiis forum so i set this challenge: Desgin the studio of your dreams. I mean a studio u would build if there was no limt to the size and cost. :)
This is easy. Give me a large ranch on the beach near Santa Barbara, California. Build one big house for me, a luxury set of suites for the people recording, and give a few million to John and Steve etc. to go crazy with, then they can call me when its all done. ;) -lee-
Can't disgree with that suggestion......don't think Steve would either :) cheers john

I would book-it out to LA, pay off the zoning authorities and buy Cello Studios before the wrecking ball comes. Then I would get out to New York and buy the recently closed The Hit Factory. You cannot build better facilities than those, and you cannot recreate a piece of history. Then I would buy Ampex, start manufacturing tape again, build more Studer's, buy SSL (cause they're for sale), buy SAWStudio, freeing Bob to go crazy developing it further, making it's own proprietary OS system, etc. Then, I would buy ClearChannel, Cox, Cirrus, XM. I would start a huge association of studios throughout the world. I would start an education program. The kids would be taught, buy gear and buy music at these Star-Bucks type studios. We would eliminate the record companies, and stream, manufacture, etc from the studio. Eliminate the mark-up of retail and put the money in the pockets of the creators, not the lawyers and distributors. Someone needs to stop the de-evolution of technology. It was the high-end that drove the industry. That is no longer the case.
