Dimmers for lighting

I am possibly interested in obtaining some dimmers for my studio lights if I can find some quiet, non-solid state dimmers. I have played in places with light dimmers and they generally wreak havoc with guitar pickups due to all the RFI the spew out. Does someone make shielded light dimmers, or perhaps some kind of autotransformer style dimmer? Thanks!
