Hi, I'm trying to put together studio in my basement. I have a 16x12 room that I have built and its about 7 feet to the exposed ceiling. The size of the room and location is due to all the beams, vents, pipes and other stuff down there. I have the control room enclosed and there’s the rest of the basement for playing. I'd like to finish off the control room first then worry about the other stuff. I have a large window on the 16 foot wall do to the fact its the only one that looks into the rest of the basement and a smaller window that will look into a vocal room or something like it.
It would be nice to set the computer a monitors in front of the window.
Will this work if I put angled resonators behind me? I know is preferred to have a greater distance behind the console.
I saw the plans on this site similar in dimensions to my room, but it looked like it had no windows.
What is the best configurations for traps resonators in my room?
Will I have to but my monitors on the short wall so the sound will travel further before it returns?
Any ideas for the ceiling? I was thinking of going the insulation and burlap covering route.
Also I was thinking of using that Pergo snap together wood flooring for the floor, would this be good or should I go with a thin carpet?
He are some pics of what I have going so far
Any suggestions, Thanks
First studio attempt, control room trap placements?

Which plan did you like. I am sure it can be retro'ed with a window. also pergo is just fine. I use Pergo in My vocal/drum booth with no ill effects.
As your ceiling is so low the route you suggest is best.
I saw this plan on this site with instuctions for making wall units. I'd like the chair to face the long wall if it will work. Thanks
