I'm looking into the feasibility of building multiple rehearsal rooms in a building 30'x50' with cinder block exterior walls and a 6" concrete floor. Would I be able to get enough sound isolation from one room to the next without building floating floors in each room? Could all rooms share a common sound lock corridor?
I wouldn't bother - a small amount of flanking from room to room wouldn't be a problem in a rehearsal facility IMO. cheers john
Thanks! That's the answer I was hoping to hear. How about the common sound lock corridor for all the rooms (i.e. a hallway running down the center with doors to each of the rooms on both sides)? Would this work? Do I need some kind of 'double door' for each room? Geez, the more I read on this stuff, the more questions I have. I haven't even begun to think about ceilings or HVAC yet
