Hi, a newbie here.. just got a new townhouse and am planning on finishing the basement, with a home studio room in the back, behind a family room..I don't have all the specific measurements yet, except the square feet of the entire basement is 620 feet. (We are just starting to think of ideas.) If possible though if someone could give me a basic feel for how I could set this thing up and roughly what materials I would be using that would be great. I have provided some pics of the room and a basic sketch of our initial plan (this could change) for the whole basement on my website here: I will be doing mostly hip hop, dance stuff so there will be no need for any space for drums, just need a vocal booth, which i would probably use to record some acoustic guitar in as well. If I need to angle walls or whatever, you can let me know, I have a great builder (I call him macguyver.) Like I said, this is only the very beginning, so I can get an overall idea of the design of the studio room and material to do further research and planning on everything. Thanks alot, I look forward to building this in the near future, giving pics and and info i discover along the way!!
