Garage Live room and such

Hello all. I have a quick question(I hope :D ) I am converting my 26'x12' garage to a band rehearsal place as well as an intro level recording studio. I was wondering how I should handle the floor and ceiling design and construction? The floor is of the blacktop variety, not super level. I was just going to shim it up and place a vapor barrier with insulation and regular 2x6 joists. I am not concerned about sound leaking out the bottom at all. I have no idea about the ceiling.. any thoughts would really make my day! Thanks all -Tom

any drawings or pics - what is the ceiling height etc.?? cheers john
