Hi, i have a small rectangluar space in my basement, and have gotten some good ideas from the forum about how to best set it up considering its rectangledness :-)
I think im pretty much there - i know. its very tight.
Am interested in anyones comments on how i might treat the live room...
Thanks
Pete

Great!
Thanks John - much appreciated
Wow, i just did some measurements and the 8" either side of each room per slot reasonator just takes up wayyyy too much room in my tiny little space.
Can anyone make any sugestions of traps or any other treatment for these rooms, which is effective, but relatively thin?
Ive heard of a number of different things, real traps, Auralex products etc.. and some of these products might be good (and what im looking for) , but i guess im interested in hearing real world experience with some of these things, letting me know what you found to be effective, but at the same time (relatively) thin and as inexpensive as possible too.... I dont ask for much do i!
Thanks so much :-)
peegee - straight 703 on the wall will only take up 3" BUT it will soak up ALL your highs. The suggestion of slots was to retain your highs and attack the low mids - where the 703 starts to roll off.
maybe something like this??
cheers

Thanks so much for the reply John - it looks great...
problem is now that i have been pouring over these forums for hours, days it seems, (and although i had almost entirly finished the framing of my studio before i found the forum) im almost convinved i should knock down the paralell dividing wall in favor of an angled one. (its just a frame right now.)
Am i right, and if so, would you John, or any one else out there give me a hand with an efficient layout? considering thin traps/treatments throughout.
There is so much info here and so many opinons, its hard to know what is the best way to go would be.
I really appreciate do your time John and all who have read and may reply.
:P
Folks i think ill leave this thread now and start a new one. I think i am pretty much there with my design, just need a few more stamps of approval if thats cool.
