hi guys, please don't laugh at my design cause i am no designer. I tried my level best to make my plan out so that I could explain myself and could get some help as much as possible... ANyways, as you can see form the pic, my question is. .. ok , let me explain before i post the question.. ROOM #1 is bascially where all my equiptment is.. Meaning, mixing consoles, effect racks, DAW computer, sound modules, eq's, and other mixing boards ... ROOM #2 is bascially a guest room when people come over... I would like to keep that room the way it is, but if that rooms need to be converted for the help I'm asking, then that's not a problem to convert it ... ROOM #3 bascially is not a room yet... There is space there and thats where I want to build a room where I can put a acoustic drum set and same room for recording vocals or doing some guitar work.. Now here's my question.. The space from where is says FURNACE and EMPTY CLOSET is about 7 feet and from the wall to the back is 6 feet .. I was wondering if I could fix a drumset and a vocal boot in there to do my vocals and drum parts.. Not all at the same time, but you know what I mean.. If the space seems to be small, then what do you think of the guest room .. I will give you the measurments of both ROOM #1 and ROOM #2 below.. ROOM #1 = 9' x 11½' feet ROOM #2 = 8' x 11 feet ROOM #3 = 6' x 7' feet. (7' goes from furnace to the empty closet end) The Celing Height for ROOM # 1 and #2 is 7' feet. I'm sure the celing height for ROOM #3 would be the same too ... as I said, room #3 is not built yet. Before I built that, i just wanted to know if that was enough, or you think it's only good enough for doing vocals.. I would need a bigger place for acoustic drums ... . I have not treatements so far on any walls, and I'm open for suggestion too.. I'm just planning to move enerything there slowly... I just bought the house so everything is empty so far.. As you can see, right now I'm building a window in ROOM #1 facing the basement (brown window) Everyting you see if my layout is all one level basement floor. If you want to know how do I get upstairs, then where is says EMPTY CLOSET, (where the green sofa is) there are stairs there which lead going upstair, which I didn't draw in this layout.. I do realise that if I do build room #3 it got to be sound proof because of when the furnace kick's in ... But nay comments and suggestions in making things better would be really appreciated... You can always download my picture design modify it or re-draw or do some changes and post it back here... That would be much appreciated.. thanks for taking the time to read this and trying to help out... I appreciate everyone's response in helping me get in the right direction.. peace and happy new year to everyone..

hey, thanks for the response guys ... Sorry Jatougas, i don't understand what you mean by measurements :D but if you meant the room size, it's listed above.. ROOM #1 is 9' x 11½' feet ROOM #2 = 8' x 11 feet ROOM #3 = 6' x 7' feet. The celing helight for all 3 rooms are 7' feet.. All I really want to do is just make another room and sound proof it so that I could put a drumset in there and do my vocals in there too .. I was juts wondering if the 3rd room size is good enough to build a drum room or maybe i have to use the guest room... As for John, so far I've only seen to poles that are connected to the beam if that what you mean by poles.. And I'll draw another design indicating where the poles might be ... I hope this is what you meant.. :) anyways, thanks everyone for all the inputs and replies..
