So I was thinking here that since I have not only a studio but also a comprehensive workshop, that some of you could use my services. So here is the deal. I will build your racks, desks, resonators, absorbers, etc. according to your plan that you work out with John. Each job quoted individually, very reasonable, turnkey price plus shipping. If you are not handy, I will help. Just giving back to the source of the knowledge I have developed. This is, by the way, the single best source of studio and audio informaiton I have found. Jon
That's a good offer Jon - any takers?? cheers john
Not yet - its the first try. I will set up a Paypal account and do this for anyone who needs it. Please note, everyone, that it is a sideline for me, so we must allow some leadtime.
that's cool - on any other site you'd have been accused of spamming but this is a site for commercial people as well - go for it ;) cheers john
Just trying to be helpful to others like me...
Hmmmm Very very intersting. :) I am in the process of finsihing studio #2 perhaps this will be handy. Hey John make it a sticky and rename it possibly?????
what kind of racks do you have available? I need a 16 space rack, in black and steel or chrome.
We're just getting started on a pretty big studio project (72+ input SSL main room and an edit suite) and will eventually be needing a four or five bay producer's desk, diffusers and some kind of custom editing/mastering desk with racks. We should be far enough along by November to install them. Any samples we could see?
I would like a studio desk for FW-1884
how much are your racks running?
Id be interested in either a computer Isolation box and/or a 10 space rack box! E-mail me at [removed]. Thanks!
Hi Jon, any chance you could post some pics of your work? in particular I'm interested in any studio furniture you've made. Desks/ computer units etc. cheers Paul (very interested) kent
Hi Jon, I too am looking for a 10 space Iso box to house a rackmount UPS and PC. I would like to build it myself though. Do you have any pre-drawn plans you're willing to share or even sell? Or, can you shed some insight into the necessary acoustics to build a good box. Thank you for your time. I can be contacted at [removed], or just go ahead and reply to this post. Eric
Hi, Jon I need an ISOBOX plan too, because I'm living in Istanbul - Turkey and there isn't any music shop which sell ISOBOX . I made a searh over the internet but I could not find any construction plan about how to build an ISOBOX. Please help.... I will build this with a carpenter but I need some plans... Thanks
Hi, I put up a post (http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6562) on a design for a desk I'm working on and noticed the sticky you put up on furniture and racks construction. I was going to build it myself but I\'m pressed for time between moving to a new house and my long hours at work. Budget is an issue, but I figured it doesn\'t hurt to ask approximately how much it would run me to have you build it. I live in Brooklyn. I don\'t know where in NY your located, but if it\'s not far I could definitely pick it up. The design I want is more like the 2nd pic on my post-the better one that wasn't done with MS Paint. Very Happy If you need more details before giving an estimate, feel free to ask. Best regards.
wooo! just checked your website and you a 516 area code...im in suffolk, so you can't possibly be very far... expect to hear from me very soon...for at least a custom desk
any pictures of anything you've done??? hopefully i can have dimensions for what i need tonight
