John - I made a stab at drawing out a floor plan for my 9x13 room with a voice booth. Can you make recommendations about how to use the space better? I need to leave room for a drafting/painting table.

Hi Jon - any chance of losing one of the doors - i.e. the bottom right one.
cheers

Well, not easily. The bottom right door goes outside to my yard. The left door goes into my garage/live room. I can relocate the bottom right door anywhere along the bottom wall or the right hand wall, though, if that helps.
The ceiling will be one large broadband absorber.
I will treat the walls with foam/traps/resonators as approriate after the ceiling is in.
Considering all that, I think the layout and the door positions can be pretty flexible.
so could you do this?
cheers

This is definitely doable. I would lose the window (and therefore the A/C) but it is possible. I assume the corners you show are bass traps?
The bookshelves I showed were really meant to be diffusers of sorts, which could be as simple as filled bookshelves.
What acoustical problems should I expect to treat with this layout?
I'd treat the ceiling with a heavy dose of 703 :)

OK here is a revision. IF I move the voice booth door and put a corner absorber in all 4 corners? HOw does that look?
I also put the door next to the window so I can maintain my A/C for those hot summers.
Will corner bookshleves filled up with books and things work in the corners? Or is it necessary to build a resonator or absorber for those areas?
Should I even worry about diffusion in a room this small?
