Hi Again, Well, I spent all year saving and I think I am ready to start construction of my 1st studio. I am really excited! :P I' ve been talking to a structural engineer about removing a post and I should have an answer of what I need to do by the end of the week. I've been trying to envision the actual space and how it will look measuring the floor and standing things up, but I've been troubled with a few questions. Is the live space large enough to hold a 6 piece band comfortably? I've been recording some bands in a 13X10 semi-treated live room (spare bedroom) and with 3 people it seemed a little tight. I have a friend that can help me relocate the bathroom 5- 10' either way to shift wall placement if necessary. I realize that the singer will be in an isolation booth, and may be a guitarist in the other I was just wondering what you all thought. I guess this is the start of it all and I am sure you'll be hearing some more from me in the upcoming weeks... Thanks, Tom

I forgot to note where the bathroom was. -Tom

I think I have the extra space I was concerned about. Does the wall with the window in Iso 1 being parallel with the wall in front of the cinder block pillar pose a problem? Thanks, Tom

After sitting for a few minutes since my last post I wanted to just say thanks again for this resource and the help John gave me with the design. I would be lost without it! Tom
No - not over that distance and the small amount that is actually parallel. the walls of your control room are in fact the inner walls, you haven't drawn the outer walls I notice. Like this cheers john
I wasn't sure i needed the outer walls on those sides because the outer parimeter is cinder block. I guess I do need them in to hold the 703 behind the slats. Thanks John. My next step is figuring out what wall type to build in the various areas of the studio. Tom
