I'm sure this question has been asked many times here but what is the best / most cost effective way to help isolate a control room downstairs from a controlroom upstairs in a house. I'm not looking for anything other than "reasonable" isolation . Does rubber flooring help at all ? Any other suggestions. Thanx in advance !!!! Shipshape

We don't have the faintest idea what is "reasonable" for you. All we know is that you have in the building you are in at least two control rooms. Also, if you would update your profile so that at least we know where you are. No great detail needed but country/region helps alot in talking about construction methods, cost, etc. Have a look in the construction forum and the sticky at the top with threads in it. Also read the the "recording manual" from the main menu. A wealth of information there about floor/ceiling construction and isolation. Andre
