hi everybody,
this seems to be the right place for getting some help in collecting ideas for my new studio. please excuse my english - i'm german .
i'm about to buy a new house where my studio will be located in the basement which is like a real living-floor with real windows, tiles (?) and normal ceiling height of 2,50 m. don't know what it's called in english, in german it's soutterain.
as i only do electronical music i don't need any big recording rooms. just a control room (as big as possible) and a vocal booth for 1-3 singers and some small space for noisy macs and storage.
i don't use a mixer anymore so i'm used to sit in front of a desk with 2 23" cinema displays heading the speakers (Dynaudio bm15a). left and right to the desk there are several racks for outboard stuff and synths.
so what would be the best design for that room?
do i have to build it room in room as the livingroom is above the studio room?
where's the best place for the speakers? etc...
thanks in advance
