Hi, I was just wondering what type of programs you all use for drawing such nice studioplans. I'm about to build a more serious studio and would need to get into drawing proper plans. Best regards Toby
Is there such a program for Mac?
I may be wrong but I think the mac users use Visio. BTW - I have purchased the upgrade to Smartdraw 7 but after trying it I'm back on Version 6. They changed the zoom function so it takes more clicks to zoom which is a real drag when you use the program as much as I do. they aslo changed the 'show length' and fucked it up completely. I've written to them and told them so :) cheers john
There is a really neat program called SketchUp for the mac that is basically a 3D design app with intuitive features so you don't have to be a CAD-head to get started. Bummer is its expensive ~$400 I think. I've had mine for a while and love it since you can really visualize the space when you're dreamin' about it. try sketchup.com. -bassman
Anybody know of a cheap drawing program for broke-ass bitches like me? I just need to draw out a basic floor plan for review on this site.
paint!!!... has everything you need..=)
Also guys, is there anything easier than Autocad for 3d drawings :?: I've tried using Autocad and it's so complicated to me :( Thanks
Check this one out http://www.artifice.com/free/dw_lite.html Works great, fairly simple, although a little tricky at first-better read the instructions/tutorials :? . I'll post my current design for sake of demonstration. The program is, of course free, the only limitation I've run into yet is a maximum of 100 objects per design allowed. May be a problem, depends on how detail-istic you are. DAVE The dimensions are 11x15' outside. 2x6 with four layers.
