Post Production confusion??

ahoy, with regards to designing a post production room, do you build it the same shape as a "diamond shape" control room? were using the standard diamond shape for our control room, but cant sem to find many post production room designs or techniques...from what ive seen in the big studios is that they are just plain rooms with acoustics installed and a wad of moniters... any advice would be great, regards from the tip of africa :)

For me a post production room is no different to a mix control room. I did post for Beyond International (Beyond 2000 etc) for years in a RFZ (diamond shaped as you call it) style control room. The only major difference being the additional TV monitor as the main reference point. cheers john
