Hey guys, Just wanted to run my control room design by and get any comments I could about it. My control room will be used mainly for editing and mixing, ceiling is 8 ft, I will put aborbtion angled 20 degrees like John's designs, it's in a basement and I'm not overly concerned about leakage, since I don't monitor loud, at least not for a long time  I wanted to include a small vocal booth, I'm really looking at the design I've seen on here about the changable reflective wall, in case I want to record accustic, so I can have the option to make it a little more live sounding. I'm more concerned about leakage of the AC into the vocal booth, that wall will be doubled following the designs on here. If you don't care to look it over and see if I've missed anything or out to lunch on something, I hope to start construction in a few days. I've already run my AC and returns, if anyone is interested I think I came up with a pretty cool way to keep the air transfer noise to near nothing, let me know and I'll post that with maybe some pictures. I'm planing on keeping a picture run of each stage if anyone wants to see them. Thanks again for all the help and wonderful ideas I've gotten from the forum. Arthur

Just one thing.. be sure that the front slotresonators go past your mixingposition...so you don´t sit where the walls are parallel
Yea, my drawing doesn't really show that but I did figure it. I'm not much of a draftsman when it comes to these programs, I'm much better with a ruler and a pencil, if you know what I mean. :? Arthur
Quick question for the guru's. I thought I had all this sorted out till I started laying out my room on the floor, then it looked kinda weird, so I'm just checking my math. The walls parallel to my console need to be 12 degrees, correct? Do I also need to slant my front walls also even though I'm not gonna soffet mount my monitors? Also, do you think I can get by without angleing my rear side walls if they're absorbtive. Then of course I'll put the bass traps and slat resonators in the back. Thanks for the input, getting kinda excited about starting and don't want to screw up  Arthur
You dont have to slant the front walls, but there is an additional benefit of them breaking up front to rear standing waves as well by doing so. :)
