Alright, here is the deal. I am building a vocal booth, and a controll room that is going to be used for vocals only. I have a space of about 12' x 18'. I had a vocal booth that used to be about 4'x8' and it was pretty cramped. I was thinking about building an 8'x8' in the corner for the iso booth, and that would leave me pleanty of space for the controll. What i am mostly concerned with is the insulation around the vocal booth closest to the outside walls. The walls that the vocal booth will be closest to are old brick walls from like 8763245897235 years ago. I am sure it will need to be double walled, but will that be enough. From the outside of the vocal booth, would it be enough to go sheetrock, framing+insulation, acoustic board, sheetrock, acoustic foam? Any help or plans would be great, any setups, whatever. Thanks in advance.

If the that is the outside wall then you have one leaf already. The construction (into column data by me)
sheetrock, framing+insulation, acoustic board, sheetrock, acoustic foam?
would give three leaves in the wall, a no no. The acoustic board is of questionable value also. Acoustic foam can be beat for price with various absorbent materials. Have a look at http://www.bobgolds.com/AbsorptionCoefficients.htm for alternative materials. You will have additional cost of esthetic covering. Check the prices n your area. Think about framing+insulation, 2 layers sheetrock, acoustic absorbent. Enjoy! Andre
