Hi all,
I am looking at this building that has a cinderblock garage built on the back with a frame and shingle roof. The roofline goes from 9' internal upto 20' or so.
I would like to have a studio that allows me to work in a surround capable control room and also have a secondary control room that doubles as a large booth during big recording dates.
This second control room would be used to record things in the live room while mixing and other things are going on in the main control room.
Also, just having a second system in an isolated space can speed up workflow by prepping sessions, editing, post-pro work etc...
If I am going to drop 20-30K into building this (not to mention buying the building itself), the secondary income stream will be welcome. Here's a rough sketch of the layout I've got in my head. I haven't got the windows and sliders in yet, but they would go in the obvious places to maximize sight lines etc... The second control room is VERY narrow, I know. Nothing I can do about the odd dimensions of this place.
Any and all ideas, bring 'em on. Have at it boys... (and girls...)

Anyone :?
wouldn't it be better if you posted a downloadable creation file so that people CAN show you their ideas?
Absolutely it would except my SmartDraw trial has run out and I use illustrator all day so I thought I'd try that.
If the only way is to use SmartDraw, then I'll have to get it but cash is a bit tight these days. I had always posted jpg's before. I did not know that you could upload design files that could be viewed online. I will look into this more.

You can attach .al files from illustrator now.

Looks like the Illustrator file is too big for the BB. Any ideas?

Can you do a screen save to jpeg or gif??

or email [removed] and I will convert the AI for you.
Well, isn't the pic in the first post a jpg? Can anyone see it besides me? Maybe I'm missing something else completely. Oh, god, graphics guy I am not.... :?
