Here are a couple ideas I was thinking of.
The boxes are acoutical box treatments with fabric insert ( ie grill cloth style)
Grey lines are foam ( currently )
Ceiling is white
Floor is grey carpet and 8' x 8' wood drum floor.
This shows two apposing walls of the main live room.. 22. x 18' approx.
I will continue the main color scheme throughout the facility.
Any thoughts .. which do you like, or hate.
Color Scheme Thoughts

Hi, what country are you in? I ask cause my recommendation would be different depending on your location.
Color and color theory and interior design really is more about feel (like music!) - so what sort of feel do you want your studio to have?
Your color combinations are using primary colors where I would think you would use more accent type colors. And also find colors that fit the overall color scheme (the largest color portion of your studio probably are your walls) - making the acoustical elements "fit" with your walls and floors and ceilings. Then add the bright "statement" colors (the primary colors) scattered about to add some interest. But, I would not use the primary colors like you are - its tiring on the eyes and not soothing and relaxing. Again, use the primary colors almost inconsistently - on a acoustical element on a wall, but not on every element on every wall.
Here is something visualizing a simple room with some of your colors and some minor tweaks.
But again, based on the feel you want your facility to evoke for the people working there - I would probably suggest something completely different.
All the best,
David
I see, thanks for the help. What would you suggest that is "completely different"
The acoustical treatments WILL be these 2 foot squares.
Oh yes, and I am in the US.
Hi again,
Again I ask, What feel or mood do you want to achieve?
Bright and airy, or
dark and lush, or
grim and industrial, or
colorful and warm, or
solemn and cool, or
neutral and earthy, or
posh and classy, or
over the top vegas, or
retro-y green w/ shag, or
etc.
What studio interiors do you like? Or other room interiors that you have seen? Post some photos or links to what you do like... if you can't pick a mood or feel you are looking for - just steal another color theme from someone else...
Give me something to go on and I will come up with the "completely different" version.
Might help to show a floorplan of the spaces in your facility too. Size does matter. A big live room all black vs. a small iso booth all black is going to give you a different feeling or sense of space depending on room size and dimensions... This influences OPPOSING wall color choices/themes too.
David
OK - how about relaxed, but with good positive energy and still kinda hip, but not "gosh look how sickeningly hip I am". Colors can be Lively in bright lighting and still moody in low light.
Clientelle is very diverse - from Classical chamber groups to Hard rock and Blue Grass to Funk. Even some Post work.

Thoughts anyone ?
I will have an idea for you - just alittle short on time between now and the weekend... acouple questions:
DOES the floor have to remain the gray carpet?
DOES the ceiling have to remain white?
WILL there be natural light coming into the facility in its final state?
WHAT sort of lighting are you planning or exists?
Best Regards,
David
Hi David,
For now, yes - they gray carpey will stay, there is an eight foot drum platform made of oak. White ceiling could be changed, but I am hoping for less painting.. possible though. There is some natural light in office and lounge, but not control or recording areas. Lighting in those areas is currently recessed cans and track lighting. Accent lighting and lamps, etc. are possible of course.
Ideas ?
