Should I take the paper off these corner super chunks? We stapled it to the side frames thinking it would help with compression. Then we filled in the front with long strips of insulation. Thanks

compression? curious as to how the paper adds compression. :) if you need some reflection of higher frequencies, the paper can do that although really you'd be better served with no paper under the cloth covering and add slats, panels etc over that once you determine if you need the high frequency support.
The insulation is attached to the paper, so by stapling the paper to the frame, it would keep the fiberglass from compressing. Does that make sense? That was the idea. But we are going to rip off the paper, slice into the fiber glass and insert some strapping to solve the compressing issue, and then wrap with fabric.
I very much doubt that the paper will have any effect other than a bit of HF reflection, which fabric will absorb anyway. A friend Jeff Hedback added Pegboard to some Soffit type Traps. This greatly increased LF absorption.

you can use some chicken wire, insulation mesh, or even strong string stapled to the inside edges of the frame to support the stacks of soft insulation - usually no more than 2' high per section will give the right support.
