Hi All, I represent a ministry that makes great use of live bands, we have a warehouse that contains a stage, large PA and video screen along with space for around 500 people. We are in the process of adding the appropriate tools for archiving the performances for later broadcast as well as producing DVD's. We are therefore in need of a sound proof control room that would be used for A/V production during the performances (note there is a separate FOH booth outside the structure already) and post production. This structure would be built entirely inside our warehouse as a room within a room. The warehouse has a 14 foot ceiling. I have provided a first attempt at a design based on what I've been able to find whilst googling. Please note that although the design of the walls can be changed in any fashion, due to other restrictions, the size of the structure needs to stay somewhat similar. Sagely advice, suggestions are most appriciated.

OK, I've read through the SAE stuff, of which I discern the following: - I should move the door to the middle of the east wall - Make the outside structure rectangular - Put slat resonators and bass trapping in to cut down on reflections and standing waves (I was planning on the bass trapping before, I wasn't familiar with the slat resonator) - Put diffusion on the south wall (of which I was planning anyway) Thoughts?
You have most of the basics. Draft up a room design based on these params. (One design is blue bears which is about your size) Here is his image and look at his control room (lower right)

Obviously it is a different space than yours but pay close attention to the right wall :)
I think I understand the right wall in the design you provided. I assume the angled sections at the top and bottom of the right wall are around 12 degrees and that they are slot resonators? For my purposes, I will do the same on both long walls with the exception that a door will be on one wall and a window will be on the other. Is the peak on the south wall (behind the couch!) a bass trap? I assume it should also perform high frequency diffusion?
