I'm looking at buildings to build in, as the last one fell through...
The one I'm currently looking at is an old building in a downtown rural area. It's diminsions are approximately 23 feet by 83 feet. Ceilings in the entryway are about 9 feet, but 15 feet into the building shoot up to around 15 feet or so for the duration of the building.
There is a door in the front and a loading door in the rear. The doors are on the short walls (the 23 feet sides)
Wanted to get some ideas on how you guys would design a building like this.
Wide open idea....

You mean design a recording studio to suit this room? It'd be pretty easy, I'd think. 23'x83' is a pretty nice space, and 15' ceilings will give you plenty of headroom.
Do you have more specific questions? Or do you want us to design the whole thing for you? Someone here will probably post a design, but we'll need to know more about the space- existing door and window locations, where that dock is, etc- and exactly what you need out of a studio (multi-studios with control and tracking for each? I'd think we'd be able to fit 2 decent size control room/ tracking room pairs in there comfortably, maybe 3 if we had to). If you sketched out the space as it is now, that'd be the biggest help. And take a close look at the construction of the existing walls- if we know what they're made out of, we'll have a better idea of what our design will need.
The more you tell us, the more we can help.
