I've been lurking for some time now and decided to jump in. I've got a crazy project/business start up I'm doing in Austin Tx and would love input on build out. I'm opening a rehesrsal/recording studio in Austin Tx that will have 9 rooms to rent hourly for practice one of which will be the cutting room for the studio. At this point I could use any direction possible on how to sound proof walls to ajoining tentants ( it's in a strip mall thingy ) so they don't get overly angry with the constant noise going on there.
Hi Knuckle Bones, If it's just for building walls and soundproofing, I think the place to go would be the construction forum. And to give you a quick overview read this thread: http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=598 Greetings Dreamer
Greetings and welcome. We need more info. Building size and layout. Perhaps a rough layout of what you would like to do. Room sizes, etc, etc... Not much to go on... :?
Thanks for the link I'll get the floor plan scanned and posted and mark which room will be the cutting room for recording and which wall border the neighboring tenant.
Thick walls built out of heavy stuff.
