Initially it looks like Room A has the best access to the live room and the best dimensions for a control room. Is it possible to use the hallway as a booth?? cheers john
no the hallway cannot be used as a booth, seeing it is the entrance from outside where everyone comes in. access is no big deal, becasue it is just my appartment the kitchen in between is no big deal... looking forward to hearing your further suggestions. thanks a million.
Well you've really only got the two rooms to work with as i assume you have to sleep somewhere. So the left long room would be the control room as you like the main room to be the live room. here's the plan in a proper scale. cheers john

thanks for that diagram.. yes exactly. so the best set up would be the long room as the control room and the big room as the live room? i will sleep in whichever room is not used as a control room. or would the big room serve as a better control room? and one of the smaller rooms a live room? my concern is isolation from the two rooms... ill be running a closed circuit camera so i can see teh live room from the control room etc... (if that makes a difference) thanks again..
well - the big room would make a better control room because of the increased volume and the ability to backup to the kitchen to give the low end somewhere to go. It's up to you as to which room you use. ;) cheers john
neat.. thanks for the tips i guess its all about experimentation. ill put the drums in both rooms and see how it sounds. thanks again for your time.
