Ok i have a nice set a seakers that i need to make boxes for. I was thinkin sealed boxes as they are easier to make yeah ? Ok i need help with the dimensions i should make the boxes. They are two way and the sizers are as follows : tweeters are 2 inch woofers are 10 inch tweeter ohms : 2 woofer ohms : 7 the speakers are 30 watts any help would be sweet cheers md
Sorry deef, but that's not much information to work with. I guess you could just try building a box and see what happens? For a 10" speaker you might try a box volume in the range of 60 liters (2 cubic ft). But without having more details about the electrical and mechanical properties of the speaker, it's really just a shot in the dark. Thomas
BUd what info do you need ? I will get it for you. I really want to make these boxes work well. cheers mate deef
Oh the tweeters are sealed, so the box is only for the 10" woofer .
I don't know how 'pro' it is, and barefoot certainly has more experience on this than I do, but I made a very decent sounding enclosure for a 15" speaker using 15"Hx15"Wx12"D interior measurements... So, for you 10"ers... 10"Hx10"Hx8"D... I used 3/4" particle board (and a *lot* of caulk)... need to redo it with 3/4" 7-ply, but it's 14 years old and holding strong as a bass cab. Very clean sounding.
Errr.... make that 25"Hx25"Wx15"D for a 15" speaker 10" would end up at... 16.6"Hx16.6"Wx10"D... Senility sets in early... *sigh* - jatougas
